Winter has traditionally been a time of rest and storytelling in Indigenous communities. In that tradition, Winter Storytelling: A Celebration of Indigenous Film is a chance to increase dialogue between indigenous and settler communities.
Winter Storytelling: A Celebration of Indigenous Film will feature three films over the month of February 2024 at the Princess Twin Cinema in Waterloo, including Run Woman Run on Monday February 5 at 2 p.m., Beans on Monday February 12 at 2 p.m., and Bones of Crows on Wednesday February 28 at 7 p.m. A discussion will follow each film. This free event is sponsored by the CFUW K-W in partnership with Conestoga College, the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University. Donations to Indigenous Youth Roots will be welcomed at the door.
