STRATFORD COSTUME WAREHOUSE TOUR AND KING LEAR  PERFORMANCE  www.stratfordfestival.ca

 

The Stratford Festival is just 40 minutes or so from the conference centre in Waterloo. The Costume Warehouse Tour starts at 10:00 a.m. After lunch (on your own), we will attend a performance of King Lear at 2:00 p.m. Antonio Cimolino, the Artistic Director at Stratford, directs Lear.   

 

Cost includes the tour, ticket and transportation-$80.

COMMUNITECH, IN THE TANNERY BUILDING   www.communitech.ca

Founded by a group of dedicated entrepreneurs in 1997, Communitech is Waterloo Region’s hub for the commercialization of innovative technologies. Over the years, they have supported and helped build a tech cluster of nearly 1,000 companies. Some industry giants like Google and Blackberry have offices there in a renovated warehouse, the Tannery building. The tour is about 40 min. duration and offers a short glimpse into this space. It is near downtown Kitchener.  A brief stop at the Perimeter Institute site on the way back. 

Cost includes the tour of Communitech and transportation--$10.
