Annual Used Book Sale
The 48th annual used book sale, 2012, will take place at the First United Church, corner of King and William Streets in Waterloo.
- Friday, April 20, 9 am to 9 pm
- Saturday, April 21, 9 am to 1 pm
Drop off books, sheet music, CDs, DVDs, commercial videotapes, and video games at First
United Church (back door) on Wednesday, Apr. 18, 9 am to 9 pm, or Thursday,
April 19, 9 am to 6 pm.

Donation Guide
Wanted: only items in good condition
- Hard and soft cover books for adults, youth and children
- Pre-Recorded CDs, Videos, DVDs, Talking Books
- Sheet Music
Not Wanted: yellowed, torn, musty, marked-up, or otherwise damaged items
- Library discards
- Textbooks (try donating to Better World Books or Books Beyond Borders)
- Reader’s Digest Condensed Novels
- Magazines
- Periodicals
- LPs and audiotapes
- Encyclopedias or other similar sets of books
- Review copies
- Out-of-date travel, business, computer, environmental and tax guides
In keeping with our mission to encourage educational achievement, the K-W branch of the Canadian Federation of University Women issues the following directly from fundraising:
- Edna Haviland Awards to all the local secondary schools
- University of Waterloo Mature Part-Time Student Award
- University of Waterloo French Award
- Bursaries to University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier University and Conestoga College
